The short version: we collect only what we need to quote and install your solar system, we never sell your information, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
When you request a quote, we collect your name, contact details, address, and what you tell us about your home, roof, and energy use. If you become a customer, we also collect what's needed for permits, utility interconnection, incentives, and system production data once your panels are on.
To design your system, prepare your quote, and file incentive paperwork on your behalf. If you move ahead, we share your project details with the licensed installation partner completing your install. They need them to pull permits, schedule the work, and register your warranties. We never sell your information.
We never sell or rent your personal information, buy lead lists, or add you to anyone else’s list. We may use service providers to measure advertising effectiveness, as described below.
Only the parties needed to complete your project: your utility (for interconnection), your local permitting office, incentive programs you enroll in, and, if you finance, the lender you choose. We also use advertising measurement providers to understand whether an ad led to a site visit or quote request. Each receives only what they require.
Our website uses analytics and Meta advertising measurement tools to understand which ads lead to site visits and completed quote requests. These tools may use cookies and receive limited browser or device information, such as page activity and IP address. We do not send the answers from your quote form through the browser tracking tool. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. Just email privacy@kindwatt.com. We'll respond within 30 days. Warranty and permit records we're legally required to keep are retained for the required period, then deleted.
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll email active customers and note the new date at the top of this page.
